Tim W. Kwan graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Engineering and the University of Toronto in Business Administration. He is the retired (2005) Founder of Sheppard Group, a Toronto based developer and builder.
Tim has held various positions at Mon Sheong Foundation since 1994. He joined the Building Committee as a member from 1994 to 1996 and has been a Director of Mon Sheong Foundation since 1996. He was the Vice-Chairman and the Co-Chair of the Building Committee from 1996 to 1997 and from 1997 to 1999 respectively. Then, he became the Chairman of the Building Committee in 1999. He also joined the Senior Home Development Committee as the Co-Chair from 2002 to 2004 and became the Chair of the Senior Home Development Committee in 2005. He was the First Vice-President from 2001 to 2005, the Second Vice-Chairman from 2005 to 2006, the First Vice-Chairman from 2006 to June 2009 and President from June 2007 to June 2013.
He is currently the Chairman of Mon Sheong Foundation since June 2009, Chair of the Executive Committee since June 2009, Chair of the Senior Home Committee since 2005, Chair of the Private Care Committee since 2016, a member of the Governance Committee since 2007, and a member of the Richmond Hill Mon Sheong Court Committee since 2017.
